Light renovations and a furniture refresh to introduce a sense of historic legacy and reinvigorate the interiors of this Martha’s Vineyard new construction cottage. Using the rustic landscape and seaside culture of the island as a guiding aesthetic, the architectural character and materials palette pull from 19th and 20th-century East Coat cottages – from tongue & groove panelling and lime wash plaster paint finishes to canvas cottons and stonewashed floral patterns.
